Discover Tekangu Tegu AA
Grown in the famed region of Nyeri, Kenya, Tekangu Tegu AA is cultivated by smallholder farmers belonging to the Tekangu Farmers’ Cooperative Society. This lot combines Batian, SL-34, Ruiru 11, and SL-28 varietals grown between 1,700 and 1,800 meters above sea level. Following a careful hand-selection at the Tegu factory, the cherries are disc-pulped, density-sorted, and fermented for 16 to 18 hours before a secondary 16-to-18-hour soak in fresh river water. The parchment is then slowly sun-dried on raised beds for up to 21 days to develop its vibrant character.
This fully washed AA coffee delivers a remarkably bright, juicy cup with a round body and refreshing acidity. An intricate flavor profile unfolds with vibrant notes of strawberry, orange zest, and smooth caramel, settling into a crisp and elegant finish.
